Welcome to Juneberry Integrative Physical Therapy! We’re thrilled to support you on your journey toward better health. Below are some helpful tips to ensure your first visit goes smoothly and you feel as comfortable and supported as possible.
1. What to Wear
Dress Comfortably: Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Avoid tight clothing, such as yoga pants, as we need to assess your posture, movement, and alignment. Clothing that is easy to adjust and move in will be most beneficial for your session.
2. Arrival Time
Arrive Early: Our time together is valuable, so please arrive 5 minutes before your first session. This gives us time to ensure everything is set up for you and allows us to start promptly.
3. New Patient Form
Be Thorough: When filling out your New Patient Form, please be as thorough as possible. Include any accidents, injuries, surgeries, or procedures that you can recall, regardless of how long ago they occurred. This information helps me get a more accurate picture of your medical history and allows me to tailor your treatment plan accordingly.
4. Session Duration
First Session: Expect your first session to last 75 minutes. This allows us time for a thorough evaluation and to start addressing your specific needs.
Subsequent Sessions: All follow-up sessions will be 55 minutes long. This ensures we can continue working on your goals in a focused, effective way.
5. Frequency of Visits
Visit Frequency: Treatment frequency is typically once every 3-4 weeks. The type of manual therapy I use takes time to integrate within your system, so expect to be seen about once per month during your plan of care. This allows for gradual, long-term improvement.
